Odie is an approximately 1 year old neutered male chihuahua weighing only 5.8 lbs. When Odie was at the shelter he was timid and stressed out, so the shelter asked that we take him into our foster system. Odie is currently in a foster home where he is relaxing and acclimating to life out of the shelter. Odie may be bashful when you first meet him, but he's proven that he finds his security in people. Once he knows you, Odie will greet you with a wagging tail and a happy smile! He's content settling down by you while you're working or watching TV, but don't be surprised if he tries to crawl in your lap for some pets too! Odie is a sensitive soul who has been knocked. Now he's finally finding some TLC, peace, and safety in a foster home, but we're hoping his forever home will come forward to give this little guy the loving family he deserves! Fax the application to 530-231-xxxx, or email the application to [email removed], please include the 'NAME' of the pet you are interested in on the application. If you are interested in meeting multiple animals please put all their names on one application. 4. The adoption committee will email you to confirm receipt of your application as long as you have an email address listed on your application. Please print the email address as clearly as possible so that we are able to confirm receipt. 5. If the dog is a good match for your family our volunteer callers will call you to set up a meeting. The Yolo County SPCA is a volunteer run organization and are only able to call back if the dog would be a good match for your family based on the information received from the volunteer foster families). All of our canines are altered (spayed & neutered), puppies are started on their shots, adults are up to date and have been heart worm tested (negative) and all dogs are micro chipped. The adoption fee is $175 (which covers all of these costs) for all dogs and puppies. We also have special discounted adoption fees for Senior citizens (65+ years). Fees for dogs 5 years of age and older are $75, and fees for dogs under 5 years of age are $140. THERE IS NO SHELTER FOR YOU TO VISIT BECAUSES WE ARE A FOSTER BASED ORGANIZATION.
